Jam got his start while singing and playing the drums in church. He later attended Davidson Fine Arts School in Augusta, GA and earned a collegiate scholarship majoring in vocal performance. Singer, producer, writer, arranger and engineer, the school of music taught him musical theory; harmonic expression, syncopation and complex intervals.
With such a diverse musical gravitation and collectively influenced by a wide range of musical greats from Donnie Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Kathleen Battle, Kim Burrell to Portis Head and God Smack, Jam is a risk taker in the creation process. His sound is a mix of soul, pop and R&B well balanced with a broad spectrum of musical aesthetics.
Though, from humble beginnings, he’s had the opportunity to work with industry talent such as H2, Radio Killas and India Arie (Universal Republic), Jam is sure to be a major force in the future of music.
